Obituary for Bernice T. Karpinski

Bernice Karpinski age 88, of Rosholt passed away Wednesday evening November 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories on Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. The St. Adalbert Ladies Rosary Society, of which she was a longtime member, will lead a Rosary for Bernice at 7:00 PM on Tuesday night at the funeral chapel. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of Mass at the church.
Bernice was born September 27, 1928 in the Town of New Hope, the daughter of John and Helen (Koziczkowski) Ksioszk. She attended Malloy and Sacred Heart schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. She worked at Hardware Mutual Insurance Co. (now Sentry Insurance) in Stevens Point. Bernice married Clarence Karpinski on October 18, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Polonia. The couple moved to Milwaukee in 1949 and she worked at AC Spark Plug Co. They returned to the area and have lived at their present address since 1953, where Bernice did secretarial work for her husband in his automotive repair business. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and playing the piano and concertina. She and Clarence loved to polka, play pinochle, and work on projects together.
She is survived by her husband Clarence of 69 years; one son, Richard, Hubertus, WI; one daughter, Rene’ (Ken) Kaminski, Rosholt; and one daughter-in-law, Paula Karpinski, Milwaukee. Four granddaughters, Kristie Kaminski, Stevens Point; Kassie (Derek) Tijan, Eagle River; Leanne Karpinski, Milwaukee; Kelly Karpinski, Cocoa, FL. Two grandsons, Brian Karpinski, Hubertus, WI; and Michael Karpinski, Denver, CO. One great-granddaughter, Braelyn Tijan.
Also survived by two sisters, Terry Enquist, Jackson, MO; Joann Bronk, Rosholt; two brothers Joseph, Arbor Vitae; Vince, Greenfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded by her parents, one son Randy, one infant daughter, three brothers and five sisters.
She will always be remembered for her loving personality, her big hugs and smile, and her everlasting faith.
