Virginia Ruth Pendergast
Virginia R. Pendergast, born July 27, 1927 to Charles and Eva (Clifton-Kensinger) Byers as one of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert and her granddaughter Shannon Godsey. Virginia is survived by her 11 daughters: Mary (Pat) Fogarty, Regina (Gary) Godsey, Kathleen Pendergast, Korinne Pendergast, Therese (Marco) Meade, Rebecca (David) Wilson, Elizabeth (Bill) Wolf, Maria (Pete) Amenrud, Rita Pendergast, Margaret Allen, & Bobbie (Mike) Toth. Virgina (Ginny) and Robert (Bob) were blessed with 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with more on the way.
Virginia was a nurse and homemaker. She had a love for nursing and caring for her patients, always going above and beyond. As a homemaker, she managed a home for 13 people and passed on a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and gift of hospitality to her daughters. In her retirement years she enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph’s in Marshfied as a receptionist and in the Palliative care unit. Always being generous, she would see the needs of people and give unconditionally. Virginia loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and spent much time praying for her family and others. We want to thank the staff at Care Partners for their love and support of Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday May 1, 2017 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. Edward Shuttleworth will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday morning at the Church.
