Tommie L. Schulz
Tommie L. Schulz, age 67 of 1902 Post Road passed away Friday morning February 19, 2010 at St. Michaels Hospital.
Per his wishes no funeral services will be held. Shuda Funeral Service & Crematory are assisting the family.
Tommie was born September 27, 1942 in Plymouth, the son of Waylon and Verna (Goldbeck) Schulz. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1960 and in 1976 earned his B.A. in Economics from UWSP
He entered the United States Navy November 20, 1962 and served his country two separate duties and was honorably discharged on November 19, 1968 in Bainbridge, MD. While in service Tommie earned the Viet Nam service medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Tommie was a 20 year employee of the Point Brewery and later worked and retired from Sunrise Medical in 1993 due to health reasons. He was a member of the Plover Whiting Lions Club from 1977 - 1993 and served as president and tail twister. He served as union president at Point Brewery and as union steward at Joerns Sunrise. Tommie was secretary/treasurer for the junior classic and sportsman league. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, softball, fishing. He was an avid Packer fan, UWSP Football and Team USA Softball follower.
Tommie is survived by his mother: Verna Goldbeck, Plymouth; two sons: Aaron and Paul Schulz, both of Stevens Point. Two brothers: Jerry, Plymouth; Randy, FL, and his sister Debbie, UT..
